Duoduo (Lindi) Liao, Ph.D.

Dr. Liao has 20+ years of in-depth R&D experience across academia, industry, and government. She has developed numerous research projects and industrial products, authorized over 60 peer-reviewed research publications, including two books on 3D graphics & GPUs and one book chapter on Big Data computing, and been invited to give talks at prestigious industrial enterprises and universities, such as AMD, Siemens Research, Capital One, ESRI, and Carnegie Mellon University. She has also initiated and established bridges between the government, industry, and universities to formulate cutting-edge technology directions. Prior to the faculty rank at George Mason University, she served as CTO/Head of Research in several industries, including a Fortune Global 30 company, where she led R&D of emerging technologies in multimodal AI, Big Data computing, self-driving cars, and 3D/VR/AR/XR. During her tenure, she also served as PhD Co-Advisor on the dissertation committees in the Department of Computer Science at George Washington University. Previously, she worked at the U.S. Department Of Transportation (US DOT) FAA/FHWA research center and national laboratories.
