The Damage
The damage caused by a virus can be either minor or major. Minor virus damages are could be a computer virus that causes an embarrassing image to pop up on your screen, a virus that changes your starting web site to some pornographic web site or a virus that opens multiple browser windows to particular websites “usually porn.” Damage caused by a virus can also be major such as a virus that destroys files, programs or even renders your computer unusable. Major damage can also be considered as a virus that uses your computer to launch attacks onto other systems usually businesses. Another example of major damage could be the loss of personal information later used for identity theft. (Brandt, 2009)
