Studying suggestions for Quiz #13
Quiz #13 will be similar to Quiz #9, except it will have only 2
problems instead of 4.
In addition to making sure that you understand the 4 problems on Quiz
#9, make sure that you understand
- how to use Slutsky's theorem,
- how the mean and variance of Y = a*W + b*X + c can be
expressed in terms of the means and variances of W and X.
Doing the Satterthwaite approximation for part of HW Problem 16 will be
good practice for this quiz.
