Office Hours

On nights that we have class, I'll hold office hours from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in my office (Room 25 of the Central Module).

I'm also available after class from 10:00 to 10:30 PM, but please let me know right after class if you want to meet with me. If it's a quick question, then we can discuss it right there in the classroom. But if you have a few questions that might take a while to deal with, then it may make sense to go to my office. Just be sure to let me know that you want to meet with me since if no one requests a meeting I may go to the Johnson Center, or the library, or home.

I can possibly make an appointment to meet with you outside of my scheduled office hours (but since it's hard to find time to meet about STAT 652 outside of my scheduled office hours, I strongly advise you to try to adjust your schedule to make use of them). Rather than ask me about this in person, it'll be much better if you send me an e-mail request for an appointment (so that I can carefully look at my calendar and consider my schedule before suggesting or commiting to a particular appointment time).

Important note: When dropping off late HW papers, or anything else, try to put them under my office door in the Central Module. However, sometimes at night and on the weekend the main door to the Central Module is locked. In such a case, you can go to Science and Technology Building 2, and try to leave something for me in my department mailbox in Room 158. In the event that you cannot get to the faculty mailboxes because of locked doors, you can try putting stuff under the glass door to room 158, which is the main office for my department. (Do not put papers under the glass door in the little hallway that goes by the entrance to one of the computing labs.) Whether you fax your paper, or leave it for me under my office door, or leave it under the door of Room 158 in Sci-Tech 2, send me an e-mail indicating that you turned in your paper late (with late meaning that you did not turn it in at the classroom on the nominal due date). This is especially important if you fax your paper or take it to ST2, since while I am often in my office at nights and on the weekend, I don't go over to ST2 where the department office and the fax machine are nearly as often.
