Solutions for Additional Extra Problems From Ch. 6
Because several of the solutions are better understood if I provide sketches with various arrows drawn on them
(and it'd take too long for me to prepare such solutions the way I usually do), for these problems I'm giving
you solutions in hard copy form (distributed in class). The solutions for Problems 1 through 6
are given on a paper titled Solutions for HW 10A, STAT 544, Fall 2009, and
the solutions for Problems 7 through 9
are given on a paper titled Solutions for HW 10B, STAT 544, Fall 2009 (but they're numbered 1, 2, and 3 there). (Note:
This set of extra problems were homework problems I used in my STAT 544 class in Fall 2009.)
