- April 12: Qiu's paper documenting the mechanisms through which SST biases affect the forecast skill of precipitation over CONUS has been published in the Weather and Forecasting.. Congratulations!

- December 27: The paper in which our group is documenting the impact of tropical Pacific SST biases on the S2S forecast skill of UFS has been published in the Journal of Climate.
- August 22: Loren Doyle is joining the Large-scale Dynamics Group. Welcome Loren!
- July 20: Qiu is presenting a poster at the Unifying Innovations in Forecasting Capabilities Workshop. The title of the poster is "The impact of tropical SST biases on the S2S precipitation skill over the Contiguous United States in the UFS coupled model.
- July 16: Zak's paper on the relationship between surface weather over North America and the Mid-latitude Seasonal Oscillation has been published in Dynamics of Atmospheres and Oceans. Read and share here: 10.1016/j.dynatmoce.2022.101314. Congratulations Zak!
- May 23: The MJO-ENSO indices developed by Nick have been implemented at CPC for ENSO monitoring. The implementation uses an Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based filtering method developed by Sridhar. Congratulations Nick and Sridhar!
- March 28: Cristiana is featured in the NOAA's WPO 2021 Annual Accomplishment Report.
