HOME BILL O'REILLY RUPERT MURDOCH INTO ACTION CONCLUSION

HOW MUCH POWER IS TO MUCH?

Rupert Murdoch In 1973 entered the journalism market in the United States to start his media monopoly. Murdoch became a naturalized citizen, to satisfy the legal requirement that only U.S. citizens could own American television stations. Among his major purchases was The Fox News Network In 1995, and then In 1996, Murdoch entered the world of cable news with the Fox News Channel, the24-hour cable news station proclaiming itself as "the most-watched cable news channel."And, the brainwashing begins as Murdoch seems to contol most of the media outlets in America; he is a billionare that seems to be getting more powerful by the day.

Today, Murdoch seems to own it all! Murdoch is in control of the world's largest media empire, has used his influential position to push any agenda that will make him richer. The Fox News Channel pumps agenda catered to the conservative base but Murdoch will play with anyone that will make him richer: Hillary Clinton for example.Murdoch, has contributed a substantial amount of money to Clintons senatorial and presidential campaigns. I would sure HATE to see these contributions buy a bigger and better pass for Murdoch to be able to monopolize the media market even further.

Daily Kos reports, "Here in the U.S., Murdoch got took a glancing blow from his beneficiary, Hillary Clinton. At a campaign stop in Iowa, Clinton was asked about media consolidation and the risk of having one man like Murdoch with so much control. Clinton responded that...

"There have been a lot of media consolidations in the last several years, and it is quite troubling. The fact is, most people still get their news from television, from radio, even from newspapers. If they’re all owned by a very small group of people - and particularly if they all have a very similar point of view - it really stifles free speech."
