Internet Resources on the European Union

There is plenty on the EU available on the Internet. And, because material on it is published in all or most of its official languages, most of it is available in English. Even more, almost all of it can be accessed through a handful of websites, such as:

The EU itself maintains a website that has links to all its institutional sites.

Polis is another first-rate site which plans to post material on the 1999 elections for the Euiropean Parliament.

WESS (West European Studies Specialists) has a good selection of resources on the EU and most major West European countries.

George Mason University's International Institute also has a very good page, maintained by Professor Desmond Dinan, author of one of the best books on the evolution, structure, and policies of the EU.

The University of Pittsburgh also has a good page with references beyond the EU.

The University of Helsinki has much of the basics on the EU plus links to other European bodies.

European journalistic sources are gathered together at this site designed to help reporters do their jobs. Of interest not just for the EU, but for European politics in general.
