On June 14, 1998, Velcro was born as the runt
of his litter. When he was a rambunctious and svelte "teenager" cat,
Velcro liked to go outside in the backyard and terrorize other
neighborhood cats. One too many of his disappearances from the backyard
left another cat without part of his ear; this situation was soon
rectified by getting Velcro an electric collar to stay inside of the
fence. He used to participate in cat shows and won 3rd place in the
Friskies Cat Show's "indoor domestic shorthair" category. Now as a
grumpy old and blind cat, he pursues many very exciting activities, such
as napping, eating, and staring at squirrels outside of the window. He
also enjoys being brushed and flopping in the sun like a rag doll.
Velcro suffers from kidney failure. Poor kitty.
