Introduction
The purpose of this project is to illustrate how a Loan Officer can use today’s
technology, to run a Mortgage Loan Origination operation without the need to be
in an office. Although this system can be used for other such enterprises, for
instance - insurance companies or stock/bonds trading, I will focus on the Mortgage
Loan Origination cycle.
Lets discuss the steps of the operation in brief:
- Prospect surfs the internet for a mortgage loan by going to Search Engine,
i.e.: Google, leading client to Loan Originator’s (LO) Web Site
- Client fills-out pre-qualification form and emails information
- LO receives email/request on Handheld computer
- LO searches for best mortgage program for prospect
- LO emails response in real time
Although the steps are simple the technology behind this project is quite complex.
