Focus on Central Asia

Home

George Mason's Focus on Central Asia program brings together faculty and students from a range of departments and programs - Global Affairs, Public and International Affairs, Islamic Studies, History and Art History, Modern and Classical Languages, Russian Studies, the Center for Asia Pacific Cooperation, and the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution - to discuss topics of both global and regional interest. In addition to its regular course offerings, the Focus on Central Asia program hosts a lecture series which is open to the public.

In addition to its university-based resources, the Focus on Central Asia program partners with experts in government agencies and national and international non-profits and NGOs to provide a broad network of scholars in the greater Washington, DC area.

The Focus on Central Asia initiative is funded by the Department of Education Title VI Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language Program (UISFL).
