Journalism vs. the Internet > the change > Credibility > Propaganda > Censorship

Back to Christian's really lame Index page

Propaganda- “the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person.”

The Internet is full of facts and opinions. The difference between the two on the Internet is how they are presented. You can find factual content all over the Internet. However opinionated videos, articles, and blogs are presented very professionally, luring people who do not know the difference. There are tons of Anti-Bush videos and blogs out there reporting “facts” they know of and have received by actual news articles. However the news articles they get the demographics from only supported what they further believed in, not made them decide what to believe. Much of the information today, even on CBS and MSNBC, especially after 4pm, are opinionated “news” shows. These opinionated shows are often arguments over petty laws and are censored so you dont get to hear jerks like Bill O'Reilly curse.
