Hegirascope: A Hypertext of countless endings or the endings of countless writers

Hegirascope by Stuart Moulthrop is a hypertext of free range. The option of four, almost always different links riddle this site with poems, dreams, stories, personal feelings, and strange occurrences. Hegirascope with its 175 pages and 700 choose able links can seem disheartening at first with its deep meaning and abstract words. When reading Hegirascope the reader is given unspoken rules and choices. Follow the allotted time you have, read the text, and click on a desired link. The Hegirascope however can be mapped by the reader to his own personal tastes. This hypertext critique is to prove that while Hegirascope is “chaotic” in nature, the human mind and therefore the choices that are made on the Hegirascope are not so chaotic and in fact follow a trend.

WARNING: Experiences may differ while reading this critique and other Hypertexts depending on what music you are listening to at the time of the reading. I suggest you upload Radiohead's "Videotape" and "Arpeggi" off of their album "In Rainbows" followed by Broken Social Scene's "Shampoo Suicide" and "Lover's Spit" off of their "You Forgot It In People" album and listen to them in that order.
