Well, I think overall I view mainstream journalism as an online medium as a more trusted source than your typical internet blog. I feel that the mainstream journals are still your best source for edited and verified information for the average reader. It is a source I know I can trust because they have been around for a while and have a high standard and have an extensive process that seaks out only the best journalist. In constract, anyone can be an online blogger. One's facts may be checked, but I, as a typical internet surfer, have no basis for which I feel confident in the blogger's creditability - and therefore am not sure I fully can embrace the content they provide.
