While there have definitely been questions of mainstream media's true intent and how there has  been change over the past years (now that are owned by corporations) for which the bottom line, you still feel (true or not) that you can hold them accountable to getting the facts right, while they skew there portrayal a certain way, you feel you can believe in the facts. With blogs and random sites there just isn't that same feeling of accountability. A blogger can write whatever they feel.
