| I am happy to say that since I've began my new, exciting, educational life at George Mason University, I've grown from a little girl into a young adult. This is not in the sense of my age or physical apperance but as a student, writer and a philosopher. During this first semester in New Century College I have faced many challenges when writing some of my essays. It hasn't always been easy but I have seen a great progression in my writing and in my understanding of whatever it is that I've been asked to read or write. I know that as a student I've gained knowledge in many things that I never thought I would have. I am able to write like it is a recipe to baking a cake. That is if you would like to compare it to baking a cake, then you'd be eating the best double-chocolate cake ever put into your mouth! I feel that I have accomplished many things as a student in New Century College because I can definitely say that out of all the people I've talked to here at George Mason (besides my fellow NCCer's) I have written more papers, read more stories and philosophized more readings then they would ever do in one year. I am proud of myself for making it through this first semester, I know that I am a strong student and I am still continuing to grow. I plan to stay as focused and driven as possible in the second semester of New Century College. I know that I am not at the level of a writer that I wish to potentially be, but I can say that I am getting there. I know that by making the choice to be in New Century College I have given myself a "head-start" in all of my general education courses. That is always music to one's ears when they know that they are almost complete with those obnoxious gen.ed. courses. Also, in the long run I know that I will be able to complete any of the long, dreadful, wishing-I-never-chose-to-do-this papers that I will be assigned in the future. I'm still growing and maturing and I plan to never give up. I want to be the best student that I can be and have a successful life. I know that I'm getting a great start through the help of New Century College. I'm not worried about a thing because every little thing is gonna be alright. |
