The
Gloom Cookie series focuses on Isabella,
Damion, Lex, Max, Chrys, Sebastian, and Vermilion. The story at first
begins with Lex's love for Max and how he does not return it. It then
evolves from a simple love story to an amazing complicated world of
lovable monsters and fallen creatures. As the series progresses the
plot gets a lot more complicated and intense.
The
only problem I have with this
series is that it first begins with Ted Naifeh as its artist but in the
following issues Naifeh is replaced by John Gebbia and the art really
does go
downhill unfortunately. Currently though Serena Valentio, the great
author has joined forces with another artist, Harley Sparx and the
artwork has thankfully improved. Throughout the changing artists though
the plot still remains great.
The following is a cover done by Naifeh for Gloom Cookie.
Notice the attention to detail.

Compare
this to later artwork done by
John Gebbia. Much more detail is put into Naifeh's cover than Gabber's.

The following is artwork done by
Harley, in which the same amount of detail that Naifeh put into his,
Sparx also put.
