- An “actualities” is a more true to life way of telling a story. It is truer because they presented the fact such as speeches, real events of street scenes. Showing people “actualities” showed people the truth in the world and allowed them to see more into the natural behavior of a human begin.

- The more “natural” way to tell a story is with a “Temporal Overlapping.” These films has been largely replaced by parralel editing, also called "crosscutting" or "intercutting," in which simultaneous scenes of action are "intercut" to produce a unified narrative. The stories are very much more elaborate and can tell multiple sides of a story in one film. A modern movie narrative can change the way we see the world today. A film can make the world seem a more violent place or it can make it feel to be more sophisticated.
