Introduction
Heart-03

The heart is the center of blood circulation throughout the human body. You are able to function and live without other organs, a kidney for example, but without the heart, you would not be alive. The importance of the heart is known, but the replacement of the heart is a concept that some may not easily grasp. In implementing the use of the artificial heart, an assortment of issues must be considered. Different models of the artificial heart have been constructed for several years, but recently, the Food and Drug Administration (F.D.A.) approved the replacement of the heart, by the artificial heart, for temporary use. The setback of the shortage of available donors, because of the lack of organ donors, will hopefully be revived by this new medical advancement. Initially, there are restrictions involving the use of the artificial heart, but with advancements in research and construction of the artificial heart, the use of the artificial heart in the future may be unrestricted. Utilization of the artificial heart is a major step forward in the world of medicine.
