Fratellis Rock Out: From iPod Ad to Rad, the Fratellis Hit It Big
You may not realize it, but if you have a TV you have heard Glasgow’s The Fratellis. Featured in an iPod commercial from last year, “Flathead,” by The Fratellis, was the iPod’s theme song for a number of months.

It was one of the most popular songs Apple chose for its iPod advertising campaign.
Their 2007 full-length US release, “Costello Music” is very different from this year’s other indie albums and mainstream discs. From the first chords of the opening number, “Henrietta,” the catchy guitars and slang-riddled lyrics pull you in...(click for more).

"Kindergarten Cop" Remains a Classic
Today, the movie screens are filled with Spartan soldiers, two men ice-skating and 3-D Ninja Turtles.

Instead, Schwarzenegger was a “Kindergarten Cop.”...(click for more)

Bachelors of Fine Arts: Raunchy College Humor at Its Best
Pittsburgh, Pa. is known for its culture, traditions and scholars. The Southside Bar Crawl is renowned as near impossible; the Steelers have become legends within the city and the universities such as the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon and Duquesne bring in the brightest students.

At the University of Pittsburgh, five college students released a sketch comedy DVD that is causing a stir around the city and on the Internet. But on the same note, Pittsburgh is not called “The Dirty Burgh” for nothing.  These scholars are not quite what you would expect...(click for more)

WEEK OF APRIL 10:
Lucky Day Band: Lucky for Us, They are Local
Listening to "All My Rainy Days" the new EP from Washington D.C.'s own Lucky Day Band was awfully fitting this weekend as the weather depicted just that - rain, rain, and more rain.
