Module 6 Update Report
Here is a list of all the changes I made to both my HTML and CSS code in order to make it correct, easily readable, and consistent across various web browsers.
- I copied and pasted the information listed on the Module 6 Information page into my code.
- Changed the website title from "Web Authoring & Design Methodology" to "The Basics of Web Design" to optimize searchability and title descriptiveness. (Plus, it sounds nicer.)
- I got an error stating that I had opened an additional head tag other than the one I started, however this was not the case. To fix it, I moved all meta information between the head tags, and the error was removed.
- Updated all links leading to the original Module 5 pages to Module 6 pages.
- Changed H4 font size and letter spacing to keep all the text from overflowing from the box in Safari browsers.
- Changed content DIV's margins for each page so that the initial heading wouldn't be hidden by the navigation bar in different browsers.
- Added "serif" or "sans-serif" to all font-family properties for additional clarification.
- Added alt text and descriptive titles to all headers, links and images.
