MEMO-Part 4 - Migrating Your Mason/OSF1 Account

Once you have completed parts 2 and 3 you are ready to migrate your Mason/OSF1 account. Follow the instructions below to migrate your email. If when you check your quota it shows over 20mb in use please contact the ITU Support Center prior to running the migration utility.

CHECK EMAIL QUOTA:

The mail.gmu.edu disk quota limit is 20 Mbytes. One easy step to reduce your disk quota usage is to empty your trash before migrating. To determine if your mason cluster email quota is less than 20 Mbytes or 20480 Kbytes, use the mason cluster mailquota command. For example, mason user Andrew Jackson, ajackson, logs on mason and the enters command, mailquota:

osf1.gmu.edu> mailquota

Total email quota used for ajackson is 717 Kbytes. /home/u1/ajackson/Mail size is 517 Kbytes and /var/spool/mail/ajackson size is 200 Kbytes.

In addition to the mason cluster mailquota command, email quota checking is available via the Check Quota button below. Enter your username and password then select the Check Quota button.
