Research

Our lab investigates two primary areas. First, we examine the role of individual differences, especially in terms of emotionality, in job-related perceptions and behavior. For example, we currently are creating a lab study to explore the influence of negatitve affectivity on different types of performance under stressful work conditions. The second and related area on which we focus is individual and team performance during threatening, or crisis-like situations. In particular, we examine how different configurations of indivduals impact team response and performance. In addition to these areas, I also do research on statistical issues in I/O, especially in terms of personnel selection issues.
