Music Search & Retrieval

MAY I ASSIST YOU in your search for performing materials and your pursuit of information about the past, present, and future of the performing arts? As the Johnson Center Library's liaison with the Departments of Music, Dance, and Theater I am the contact person for knowledge management in these areas. Please call on me for:

  • personal consultations regarding faculty teaching and research interests, as well as one-on-one reference assistance to performing arts students
  • suggestions for integrating library and electronic-resource use into student assignments
  • classroom instruction in use of library finding-aids, reference sources, subject indexes, and databases, both print and electronic--with options for a library tour of physical facilities and hands-on computer activities
  • procedural assistance or referral in such areas as electronic course reserves
I'm interested in your input regarding the acquisition of NEW ITEMS or the institution of NEW SERVICES at Johnson Center Library, and can serve as your intermediary for other library functions, such as preserving the traces of your current performance activities and creative projects that will become "primary sources" for performing-arts historians of the future.
