RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Ongoing research involves assessing the immune response of cocaine treated rats in collaboration with Dr. Robert Smith, Chair of the Psychology Department. Cocaine is one of the most widely abused drugs in the United States and has been the subject of numerous psychological and physiological studies. Recently, there have been several studies looking at the effect cocaine has on the immune response to a variety of stimuli. Our current studies involve evaluating the antibody response to Diptheria-Tetanus vaccines in pre- and post-natal cocaine treated rats.
