I got up and couldn't get my eyes open
properly. I got
my feet across the room into the bathroom, and when I got there, I got
a good look at my face in the mirror. "I've got to get more sleep," I
thought,
looking at the dark shadows I'd got under my eyes. Then I got into the
shower, where I found that I couldn't get the hot water to work. I got
colder and colder as I got cleaner and cleaner. Then I got out of the
shower,
and got dry with a big blue towel. When I got back to my bedroom, I got
dressed quickly, then got together all the documents I had been working
on the night before. I finally got them all into my briefcase, and when
I got downstairs, I got orange juice and milk from the refrigerator and
cereal from the counter. I got through my breakfast quickly and then
got
into the car for the drive to work. I got caught in traffic a couple of
times, but when I got to the office, I realized I was still earlier
than
anyone else was. I got the water on for coffee, and then got myself a
strong
cup, and fot ready to work. |
