-there are two kinds of sin/evil in movies (306)

            1. actual violence

            2. morally wrong acts

 

-movies should be organized in categories by age, this precedent foreshadows modern day movie ratings (306)

 

-the morally wrong acts should be more enforced that the actual violence (306)

 

-rating doesn’t solve the problem but the bigger issue is the content of the movie

 

-wants the rating to be done by physical separation of theaters

 

 

-scenes that break laws may not (306)

o       teach crime methods

o       inspire potential criminals

o       make criminals seems heroic

 

-revenge may be shown as long as the setting isn’t modern America, revenge can be shown in a past setting because it was breaking no laws (306)

 

-drug trafficking may not be shown (307)

 

- Liquor use may not be shown in places where it’s illegal and in places where its legal it must be shown in moderation
