EVPP 110 Lecture - Fall 2002

National Zoo Extra Credit Project

Prepared by Danielle Derwin

The questions below are intended as an extra-credit project for students in EVPP 110 Lecture. This project will be worth up to a total of 15 addition points towards the course total. In order to complete the questions, each student who chooses to participate must go to the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Above each question, or group of questions, is listed the heading that the zoo uses to identify the different signs around the zoo. I will give the basic directions for you too follow to answer the questions, but do be careful not to wander off the correct trail. Generally, if you stick by the display headings given and the directions, you should be able to find each question without any problems. The questions listed deal mostly with conservation problems and animal behavior.

This should be a fun exercise, and few of us take advantage of living so near to the Smithsonian’s. So make a day trip out of this, and wander around the zoo and enjoy it!!

The questions will be due Friday, November 29, 2002, by 3:00pm. If you do not have Danielle Derwin as your lab professor, please make sure that your questions are in her mailbox located in 3042 Davis King Hall by the appointed date. If you do have her as a lab professor, you may hand it in during your lab period, or put in her mailbox.
