Consider current changes in your field of study or area of interest. Choose a topic for your final research paper discussing, presenting, or suggesting responses to these changes. Topics may start out fairly broad (Health Care Reform, Financial Restructuring), but should be narrowed down by preliminary research. Develop a research question (Is a state-by-state opt-out a workable plan for Health Care Reform? How could a specific company or industry be restructured?)

In a one page memo, propose a research strategy for the final paper.

The proposal should have three parts:

1. Purpose: Why is this important (to you, to your profession)?
2. Sources: What sources have you found? Where will you look for more information?
3. Timeline: How will you finish this project in the time allotted?
