Annotated Bibliography Peer Review
Exchange papers with someone in the class. Once you receive someone's draft,
answer the following questions on a sheet of paper. When you finish, return
the draft and the review to the author and discuss.
- Is the bibliographic information complete and consistent with the MLA
2008 format?
Mark any information which seems confusing.
- For each evaluation, write down
the criteria used:
- Currency
- Authority
- Reliability
- Bias
- Logic
- Usefulness
Note: not all criteria are relevant for every source. A good evaluation
should, however, use three or four of the evaluative criteria.
- Make a note of any summary included in the annotations. Summary should
be kept to a minimum.
