5: The
Roadblocks and Corrective Measures
In
this module you will develop the ability to correct roadblocks that
interfere with moderated online environments.
Checklist:
- Post
thoughts in the Cyberbuck's Cafe forum.
- Readings:
Chapter 8 and Epilogue
- Go
to the Discussion Board and click
on Book Club 5. With the mentor facilitating, use this
discussion forum to schedule 4 Virtual Classroom chats, to be moderated
by
each
group
member.
The focus of these chats is to complete A
Moderator's Guide, to
include ideas to correct roadblocks that interfere with moderated
discussions. Each
Facilitor will post a summary of ideas from their chat session
in Book Club 5. One group member posts a draft of the
complete A
Moderator's Guide.
After discussion, a final draft of A
Moderator's Guide is posted.
- From
the Communications link, one group
member emails the final product to the mentor.
- Each
Facilitator emails to
the mentor a
reflection about moderating a synchronous chat.
- Feedback
on product will be given by mentor to each group member via email.
- Respond
to all emails from the mentor.
