I joined the George Mason faculty in the fall of 2004, after ten years at the John F.
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. I went to graduate school at MIT, receiving
a Ph.D. in Political Science in 1995. My undergraduate degree is from Wesleyan
University's Science in Society Program, where I wrote a thesis on patent policy for
industrial genetic engineering in 1983.
