1) You must attend class to do well in this course. There are no
make-ups for unexcused absences. The only excused,
unforeseen absence must come from a doctor due to a medical
emergency.
2) You must be on time. If you come to class late and I have already asked you a question, you cannot "make it up."
3) You need to read the assignments to do well in this course.
4) You must turn in assignments on the due date during class time. Every day that a paper is late, it is a ½ letter grade deduction.
5) You cannot email me an assignment. You must print it out and bring it to class. Double space papers and use black ink.
6) Please do not talk in class when I am talking or when others are speaking.
7) Please be tolerant and polite when addressing me or other students.
Differences of opinion are encouraged, but please
express your thoughts civilly.
8) Do not haggle with me over grades. I will discuss grades, but I won’t engage in a debate with you about my decisions.
9) Turn off your cell phones when class begins.
10) All attempts at cheating or plagiarism will be turned over to the Honor Code committee. I will file a report for any infraction.
11) You cannot turn in a paper for this class that you have already written
for another class. This is a violation of the Public
and International Affairs departmental policy.
12) Please feel free to drop by my office during my scheduled office hours or make an appointment with me. Or, feel free to email me questions.
13) Have fun in the class! Good luck.
