COURSES:

BIOL 124  HUMAN ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY
Prerequisites: None                   4 Credits: Lecture and Lab

This is the first semester of a two semester sequence. In BIOL124 we will cover introductory material, the chemical, cellular, and tissue level of organization prior to beginning a survey of organ systems. In the first semester we will cover the structure and function of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems.

Students must register for lecture and lab.



BIOL 125 HUMAN ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY
Prerequisites: BIOL124             4 Credits: Lecture and Lab

This is the second semester of a two semester sequence. We will finish our survey of organ system structure and function, covering special senses, as well as the endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, immune, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.

Students must register for lecture and lab.



BIOL 225 HUMAN REPRODUCTION& SEXUALITY
Prerequisites: none                    3 Credits: Lecture Only
Examines the anatomy and physiology of human reproductive systems, physiology of sexual response, fertilization, development, normal pregnancy, birth, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and reproductive technology.
This course is not available for biology major credit.

 


BIOL 425 HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY


Prerequisites: BIOL 213, BIOL 303 or POI                    3 Credits: Lecture only
This course is designed for biology majors who are considering a career in any health related field.
This course takes a systems approach to the principles of human physiology covering endocrine, nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, and digestive systems.
