Alex Tabarrok

I hold the Bartley J. Madden Chair in Economics at the Mercatus Center and am an associate professor of economics at George Mason University.  I am also research director for The Independent Institute and a research fellow with the Mercatus Center.   You can find out more about my research interests in empirical law and economics (tort reform, bounty hunters, judicial electoral systems etc.), voting theory and alternative political institutions, health economics (especially the FDA) by browsing my forthcoming and published papers and working papers.  Here is my CV (html,PDF) - note that the html version contains live links.  I am also the co-author of an extensive website on the FDA, FDAReview.org, and the editor of a number of books including those below (click on the image for more information).  Syllabi for my classes can be found further below.
